I am quite happy with the progress both Little Knight and Little Princess have made on their memory work. Little Knight asked me today if he still had a chance of participating in Memory Masters at the end of the year, and although I am not sure I want him to do that, I told him it was possible. So although we will not be attending CC for about 6 weeks we will continue to practice our Memory Work.
Here are some ways we review our work:
1. We use our Memory Board
2. The Radio game: This one was made up by my two little students. Basically Little Knight pretends to be a radio while reading the memory work from the Foundation guide and Litte Princess selects the week/ radio station and the subject/ song that the radio should play. He reads her the correct information and they repeat it. Simple, but they love it.
3. iPad Cycle one app: My husband surprised us by purchasing this app and at first I thought we didn't really need it. Well we don't really need it, but it is sure fun to use and both kids enjoy doing Memory work this way. I also like that we can take it with us.
4. Various Games: We have played games like rolling a dice to decide what we will recite next, we have also used a spinner we downloaded from the C3 website.
So along with our other school work we will continue to work on our Memory Work, and just when we return to our CC community we will have our own school break (except for attending CC) just in time to celebrate the arrival of our Baby Girl, but that is a post for another time. :-)
Are you taking a CC break during the holidays?
Will you still be reviewing your Memory Work?

Yvana,
ReplyDeleteThanks for stopping by the Cork Board. We are looking forward to our Christmas CC break but will try to keep up with our memory work by listening to it in the care.
Many blessings as you prepare for your little one.

Hi Melissa,
DeleteThanks for visiting. I am also looking forward for a longer school break, we actually took a short one this week and knowing that we only need about 13 days to hit our goal of 90 days before Christmas is making it a little difficult to get back to work, but hopefully I can rally the troops and myself these coming weeks. I really do want to hit our goal of 90 days especially since our newest angel will be arriving shortly, and we will all need a much longer school break.
Blessings,
Yvana
